Mobile Crane Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Mobile Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery on construction sites, with a strong understanding of crane operations and related equipment. This role involves coordinating lifting operations, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting various construction projects with precision and efficiency.

Duties

• Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position materials and equipment on construction sites
• Coordinate with site managers and team members to execute lifting plans safely and efficiently
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of cranes and related machinery to ensure proper functioning
• Maintain accurate records of crane usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of crane operations, including rigging and signaling as needed
• Support the operation of other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, front loader trucks, and tanker trucks when required
• Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations to prevent accidents or injuries
• Willingness to do other labor outside of crane operations in conjunction with the construction company needs.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating mobile cranes on construction sites or similar environments
• Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred or required based on equipment transported between sites
• NCCCO certified required
• Familiarity with construction machinery including concrete mixers, bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader), backhoes, excavators (Caterpillar), dump trucks, water trucks, roll-off trucks, farm machinery, and tankers
• Strong understanding of safety standards in construction environments
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions and adapt to changing project needs
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and site supervisors

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
