Mobile Developer (React Native)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior to Mid level Mobile Developer with 2 to 4+ years of professional experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will focus on building high-quality, smooth, and visually stunning mobile applications using React Native.

You will work closely with our design team to translate Figma mockups into pixel-perfect code, manage application styling, and write native code (Swift/Kotlin) when required. We highly value efficiency and innovation, so we are looking for a developer who is experienced in setting up and utilizing AI tools (like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or Cursor) to accelerate development and improve code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• UI/UX Implementation: Translate Figma designs into responsive layouts using advanced CSS-in-JS, styled-components, and native styling systems.
• Native Integration: Write and maintain native code extensions in Swift (iOS) and Kotlin (Android) when custom native functionality is required.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, profile, and fix complex performance issues and bugs using Xcode and Android Studio.
• AI-Assisted Coding: Set up, configure, and actively use AI coding assistants to optimize your workflow, write tests, and document code efficiently.
• App Deployment: Assist in preparing, signing, and deploying application builds to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• React Native Expertise: Proven professional experience building and shipping cross-platform mobile apps with React Native.
• Design & Styling: Strong eye for design with deep knowledge of CSS, flexbox, and mobile styling frameworks, along with proficiency in navigating Figma.
• Native Tooling: Hands-on experience debugging, configuring, and profiling apps inside Xcode and Android Studio.
• Native Languages: Basic to intermediate development experience with Swift (iOS) and Kotlin/Java (Android).
• AI Tooling Savvy: Demonstrated experience using modern AI coding tools to speed up writing code, refactoring, and troubleshooting.
• State Management: Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, MobX, or React Context API.
• Version Control: Proficient with Git and common branching workflows (Gitflow, GitHub Pull Requests).

Bonus / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with mobile automated testing frameworks (Jest, Detox).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps (Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions).
• Understanding of mobile security best practices (secure storage, SSL pinning).
• Experience with performance optimization (reducing bundle sizes, improving render times).

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
