Location: South Wales and Surrounding Areas

Contract: Full Time - 40 Hours per Week

Hours of work: Monday – Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm - On Call Rota

Salary: Up to £45K DOE

The Role
As our Business continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Gas Maintenance Engineer to join an established Maintenance Team in Cardiff.

CMB Maintenance are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, Commercial Gas Engineer to join our expanding team on a permanent basis, providing servicing across our portfolio and projects. The role will cover predominantly South Wales and surrounding areas, with some working further afield several times a year.

Essential

• Commercial Gas Qualification - COCNPI1LS, ICAE1LS, TPCP1, TPCP1A
• G3 Unvented Hot Water
• Recognised Health & Safety Training
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
• Be able to operate Smart devices and complete electronic documentation
• Full UK Drivers Licence (No more than 3 points)
• Pass Enhanced DBS Checks
• Electrical Experience and Knowledge
• Willingness to be part of the on-call rota.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience in similar role, communicating with clients and suppliers, ordering materials.
• Ability to fault find and diagnose issues when investigating call-outs and failures on associated appliances.
• Carry out servicing to the highest levels with great attention to detail, using industry, statutory and manufacturers recommendations.
• Initiative to reach out to technical support from manufacturers when required.
• Broad technical knowledge in maintenance for understanding mechanical and electrical remedial work quotes.
• Motivated individual that can work as part of a team and to their own initiative.
• Ability to be proactive with tasks and duties.
• Excellent customer service skills while dealing with clients. Sometimes in emergency situations.
• Excellent telephone and email manner, with the ability to communicate clearly, effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft systems to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the Internet.
• Committed to following procedures and ensuring tasks are fully completed.
• Exceptional organisation skills, with the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
• Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.

Desirable / Beneficial

• Proven Estates Experience - ideally in a Facilities Management Provider Environment.
• Experience in Facilities Management, Maintenace, Construction or a related Industry.
• Commercial Catering Gas Qualification / Experience.
• IPAF / PASMA
• Knowledge of Air Source Heat Pumps
• Experience with Oil Boilers, District Heating Networks & Equipment.
