Mobile Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mobile Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, farm machinery, and vehicle systems at various job sites. Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and bulldozers using schematics and technical manuals
• Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension checks, and hydraulic system servicing
• Fabricate parts or modifications as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance
• Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive electrical systems, HVAC components, and diesel engine controls
• Operate power tools and welding equipment safely to repair or assemble machinery components
• Test and calibrate vehicle systems such as transmissions, air brakes, alignments, shocks & struts to meet safety standards
• Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction during on-site visits

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Automotive Service Technician with dealership experience preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy truck repair, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle systems
• Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for complex machinery repairs
• Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering for repairs and fabrication tasks
• Knowledge of diesel mechanics, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, and automotive electrical systems
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in various outdoor environments
