Mobile Phlebotomist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Mobile Phlebotomist to provide on-site blood collection services at various locations. The ideal candidate will have strong patient service skills, laboratory experience, and a thorough understanding of phlebotomy techniques. This role involves traveling to different sites to perform specimen collection, ensuring accurate procedures, and maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood sampling using proper aseptic techniques
• Collect specimens from patients in diverse settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community sites
• Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory testing
• Obtain vital signs and document patient information accurately
• Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent patient service throughout the collection process
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain infection control standards
• Maintain detailed records of specimen collection and transportation
• Adhere to laboratory procedures, techniques, and medical terminology standards
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff to coordinate specimen collection

Experience

• Prior laboratory procedures and techniques experience preferred
• Clinical laboratory experience or hospital experience is highly desirable
• Proven proficiency in phlebotomy, venipuncture, and blood sampling methods
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to blood collection
• Experience with specimen processing and handling in a clinical setting
• Strong patient care skills with a focus on professionalism and compassion
• Familiarity with hospital or healthcare environment practices is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
