Mobile Plant Operators – FIFO

The Company

Our client is a Heavy Equipment Maintenance and Mine Services company operating across the Western Australian mining sector. Due to continued growth and increasing requirements across multiple sites, our client is seeking experienced Mobile Plant Operators to join their FIFO operations. With opportunities available across a number of Western Australian mine sites, candidates can be considered for 2:1 or 2:2 rosters, depending on site requirements and availability.

The Role

Working across mining operations throughout Western Australia, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating heavy mobile plant in accordance with site production and operational requirements.

We are interested in hearing from experienced operators across a range of equipment, including:

• Excavators
• Dozers
• Wheel Loaders
• Graders
• Dump Trucks / Haul Trucks
• Water Carts
• Articulated Dump Trucks
• Other Heavy Mobile Plant

You do not need to be experienced across every machine. Multi-skilled operators will be highly regarded, however experienced single-machine operators are also encouraged to apply. Depending on the site, equipment and your experience, duties may include:

• Operating heavy mobile plant safely and efficiently
• Completing daily pre-start inspections and equipment checks
• Identifying and reporting equipment faults and defects
• Working safely around other mobile plant, light vehicles and personnel
• Following designated haul routes and site traffic management requirements
• Completing production and operational activities as directed by site supervisors
• Maintaining equipment cleanliness and general housekeeping standards
• Completing required operational documentation
• Following site procedures, SWMS, JHAs and safety requirements
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, maintenance personnel and other operators
• Assisting with general site activities where required

The Candidate

We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Mobile Plant Operators with previous experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment within mining, civil, quarrying or similar heavy industry environments. Previous mine site and FIFO experience will be highly regarded. Candidates must be confident operating their nominated equipment independently and demonstrate a strong understanding of mobile plant safety, equipment inspections and working around active heavy machinery.

Essential Criteria

• Valid Australian C Class Drivers Licence
• Police Clearance must be provided
• Previous experience operating Heavy Mobile Plant
• Demonstrated competency on the equipment you are applying to operate
• Relevant tickets and/or VOCs where applicable
• Strong understanding of mobile plant and mine site safety requirements
• Ability to complete daily pre-starts and identify equipment defects
• Ability to work a 2:1 and/or 2:2 FIFO roster
• Physically fit and able to carry out the requirements of the role
• Ability to pass ongoing Drug & Alcohol Screens
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical
• Full Working Rights in Australia

• Hold current VOCs for relevant equipment

• Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Working Days & Hours

• 2/1 and 2/2 Rosters Available
• Day and Night Shift (Depending on Site)
• 12.5 hour days

Remuneration

This role is a permanent position, employed on a casual basis. Rates will be determined based on operating experience, competencies, site requirements and the equipment candidates are qualified and experienced to operate. Rates will be between:

• Casual Pay Rate: $55.00 to $75.00 Per Hour (Flat)
• • Super on all working hours
