Every service is delivered at no cost, regardless of insurance status.

Role Overview As Mobile Podiatry Assistant, you will support our visiting podiatrist by performing in-home foot care for diabetic, immobile, and at-risk seniors. You will conduct foot exams, trim nails, monitor wound healing, and educate seniors on diabetic foot care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the podiatrist with in-home patient encounters: setup, prep, and clean-up
• Perform routine foot care including nail trimming, callus reduction, and basic wound care
• Conduct diabetic foot screenings including monofilament testing and pulse exams
• Educate seniors on diabetic foot care, hygiene, and warning signs
• Maintain mobile podiatry equipment and ensure proper sterilization and disposal
• Document patient encounters and follow up on referrals

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) OR Podiatric Medical Assistant Certified (PMAC)
• Valid CA driver’s license + reliable insured vehicle
• 1+ year podiatry, wound care, or related clinical experience
• Comfort with foot care for elderly and diabetic patients
• Strong patient communication and infection-control awareness
