Mobile Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health and a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health disorders, while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Provide medication management, including administration and monitoring of psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients across various settings.
• Engage in telehealth consultations as needed to expand access to care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance the field of psychiatric nursing.

Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:

• Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Tebra and BoomerangFX
• Experience in behavioral health settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, or emergency medicine.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and medication administration protocols.
• Background in critical care, geriatrics, pediatrics, or internal medicine is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques, and patient assessment methods.
• Experience working with diverse populations including children, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Competence in performing procedures such as IV insertion, phlebotomy, suturing, and catheterization.
• Understanding of case management principles and utilization review processes.

Pay: $100,328.92 - $144,912.25 per year
