Mobile Technical Lead

We are seeking a Mobile Technical Lead to both lead and actively contribute to the design, development, and delivery of enterprise‑grade mobile applications across Android and iOS platforms. This role requires strong technical leadership combined with hands‑on engineering expertise in React/React Native, API integration, and agile delivery. The successful candidate will lead a small team while also writing code, solving technical challenges, and collaborating directly with clients to ensure secure, scalable, and high‑quality mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a small mobile team ensuring delivery quality and efficiency.
• Actively contribute to coding, debugging, and performance optimization of mobile applications.
• Architect, design, and develop mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Drive development using React and React Native, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Manage API integration and ensure secure, reliable connectivity.
• Collaborate with clients, product owners, and cross‑functional teams to align solutions with business needs.
• Apply Agile methodologies to manage sprints, releases, and delivery timelines.
• Oversee issue tracking and knowledge management using Jira/Confluence or equivalent tools.
• Ensure compliance with security, identity, and DevOps practices.
• Introduce and guide the team in adopting modern tools and practices (Expo, Postman/Bruno, Auth0, AI coding tools).

Prerequisites

• 7–10 years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong programming fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Expertise in React and React Native.
• Proven ability in API integration (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with designers, backend engineers, and QA.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact directly with clients and lead teams effectively.
• Experience with Expo framework is a plus
• Familiarity with Postman/Bruno for API testing.
• Exposure to Auth0 or similar identity platforms.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, mobile release automation).
• Familiarity with AI coding tools (Cursor, Antigravity, Claude Code, etc.).

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
