Job Overview

Adaptivity Performance is seeking experienced, self-motivated Mobile Automotive Technicians to join our network as 1099 Independent Contractors. We provide high-convenience, on-site diagnostics, scheduled maintenance, and light-to-medium mechanical repairs directly at our clients' homes or workplaces across DFW. As an independent contractor, you set your own availability and handle field repairs while backed by our digital dispatch, customer support, and physical garage hub facility in Justin, TX for heavy lifts.

Responsibilities

• Travel directly to customer locations across DFW to perform on-site mobile diagnostics and automotive repairs.
• Execute routine maintenance including full synthetic oil changes, battery swaps, starters, alternators, and brake pad/rotor replacements.
• Perform computer OBD-II scans, advanced electrical troubleshooting, and systematic diagnostic workflows on-location.
• Communicate repair findings clearly through digital inspection reports to ensure full pricing transparency with vehicle owners.
• Maintain a clean, professional, and safe work environment while working in customer driveways, parking lots, or fleet locations.
• Refer heavy repairs (engine/transmission swaps, suspension lift builds) to our Justin, TX garage hub facility when driveway repair is not feasible.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional automotive repair experience (Dealership or Independent Shop experience preferred).
• Must possess your own reliable service vehicle, basic and specialized hand/power tools, and diagnostic OBD-II scanner.
• Proven expertise in mobile diagnostics, electrical systems, brakes, and general mechanical repair.
• ASE certifications (A4 Suspension/Steering, A5 Brakes, A6 Electrical, A8 Engine Performance) are highly preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and active general liability insurance suitable for 1099 work.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude when interacting directly with clients.

Contract Details

• Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (Tax Form 1099-NEC).
• Schedule: Flexible / Choose your available shifts (Full-Time or Part-Time availability).
