We're looking for a friendly, practical and customer-focused Mobility Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team. Whether you're solving a technical fault, installing a stairlift or servicing a mobility scooter, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers stay safe, mobile and independent.

This is a varied role combining workshop-based servicing, repairs and refurbishment with visits to customers’ homes. You will work with a range of equipment, including mobility scooters, powered wheelchairs (powerchairs), and manual wheelchairs.

Whether you have experience in the mobility industry or a background in mechanical, electrical, automotive or equipment repairs, this is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical skills. Training will be provided on our range of products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Visit customers’ homes to carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs.
  • Repair and adjust active and manual wheelchairs.
  • Test batteries, chargers and components, including investigating warranty claims.
  • Prepare and safety-check refurbished equipment.
  • Complete service reports, update computer records and liaise with suppliers regarding spare parts.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and maintain a safe, organised workshop.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on engineering background.
  • Basic knowledge of DC electrical systems is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A patient, caring approach when working with elderly and disabled customers.
  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points).
  • Clean DBS record.
  • Right to work in the UK.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary
  • Fully expensed company van.
  • iPhone, laptop, uniform and specialist tools provided.
  • 28 days holiday including Bank Holidays.
  • Additional holiday for long service.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 20% staff discount.
  • Company social events.
  • Ongoing training and career development.
  • A rewarding role where you'll make a genuine difference every day.
