Model-Based Development (MBD) Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Model-Based Development (MBD) Engineer with expertise in Automotive Battery Management Systems (BMS) to design, develop, and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink and Model-Based Design methodologies. The candidate will be responsible for developing battery monitoring, estimation, protection, and balancing functions compliant with automotive standards and functional safety requirements

Preferred candidate profile

Required Qualifications

• BTech Electronics/Electrical Engineering with embedded controls development focus preferred
• 4 to 6 years industry experience or equivalent academic experience in development of automotive controls software
• Experience of model-based development using MATLAB, Simulink, State flow and autocode generation using embedded coder and its optimization.
• MATLAB model verification using MIL, SIL using Simulink test manager , Coverage using Simulink design verifier
• Well versed with MAB Guidelines for Model based development
• Functional Testing and Debugging of models and code
• Code Integration (application and BSW), exposure to different IDE, compilers and debuggers
• Experience in model development for BMS Automotive
• Know-how of Automotive BMS architecture and experience with SOC, SOH, SOP algorithms.
• Develop software in compliance with ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements.

Good to Have:

• Experience in AUTOSAR MBD
• Experience with programming in C
• Experience in safety-critical automotive ECU development.
• Good communication and presentation skills required for documenting software design, test results and observations.
