What they need

Role Overview

Picture your day starting on a multi-zone project site. By sunrise, you’ve already synced with off-site manufacturing to confirm module readiness, reviewed delivery sequencing, and lined up equipment and crews. The morning begins with a safety huddle and stretch-and-flex, followed by jobsite walks across several active areas. As the primary field leader, you coordinate subcontractors, guide installations, verify quality, and keep the schedule moving while staying aligned with plans, codes, and owner expectations.

Throughout the day, you’re reading and redlining drawings, sequencing crews, tracking milestones, and clearing pathways for modules to set without delay. Inspections are booked and completed on time with local authorities, third-party inspectors, and internal quality teams. You update daily reports, monitor cost impacts, and communicate constraints and solutions to Project Managers and manufacturing leadership. Before the day closes, you pre-plan the upcoming week—labor, materials, equipment, module deliveries, and inspections—so tomorrow’s work starts smoothly and safely.

Core Outcomes You Drive

  • Lead field operations from mobilization to closeout for modular building installations and related scopes.
  • Align off-site production, delivery sequencing, and on-site installation with the project schedule.
  • Oversee multiple work zones, ensuring proper staffing, sequencing, coordination, and housekeeping.
  • Coordinate daily schedules for subcontractors, vendors, self-perform crews, technicians, and foremen.
  • Run daily safety and stretch-and-flex meetings; conduct jobsite walks to reinforce expectations and resolve issues in real time.
  • Track safety, quality, productivity, manpower, material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site logistics across all areas.
  • Ensure full compliance with drawings, specifications, building codes, inspection requirements, company standards, and owner goals.
  • Review and redline drawings, specs, scope documents, installation details, and delivery plans to guide execution.
  • Monitor milestones, surface schedule variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain timelines.
  • Coordinate inspections with AHJs, third-party inspectors, and internal quality teams for timely approvals.
  • Report progress, risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to Project Managers and stakeholders.
  • Complete daily reports, labor records, production updates, safety observations, quality notes, and cost considerations.
  • Support financial tracking, forecasting, and change management within project management systems.
  • Lead weekly look-ahead planning to align labor, materials, equipment, deliveries, inspections, and work activities.
  • Enforce OSHA and company safety policies through audits and continuous coaching.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient jobsite at all times.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; added construction/technical/trade training preferred.
  • 5+ years of field leadership in modular, commercial, industrial, or large site development preferred.
  • Proven experience coordinating activities across multiple buildings, phases, or active work zones.
  • Deep understanding of modular installation, construction sequencing, site logistics, and material staging.
  • Ability to bridge off-site manufacturing with on-site execution.
  • Fluent in reading, interpreting, and redlining drawings, schedules, specs, installation plans, and scopes.
  • Working knowledge of codes, inspections, quality standards, and construction best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Bluebeam, Adobe, and construction management software.
  • Strong leadership, organization, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective collaborator with Project Managers, manufacturing teams, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field crews.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights as required, and remain on foot for extended periods.
  • OSHA 10 preferred; OSHA 30 and additional safety certifications are a plus.

Experience Profile

  • Background in modular building, commercial, industrial, or large-scale site development environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated success managing operations across multiple locations, phases, or zones required.
  • Strong coordination with manufacturing, logistics, delivery, and installation teams is highly valued.
