Mold and Tools Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design and improve molds and tooling to enhance production efficiency, quality, and output
• Develop and standardize tooling designs by applying lessons learned to reduce defects and scrap
• Support key manufacturing processes such as die casting (brass/zinc), tooling, and automation
• Drive improvements in design workflows, systems, and data management within the department
• Create and maintain factory layout designs to support operational efficiency
• Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for machine spare parts to support maintenance activities
• Introduce new design methods and technologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
• Design and test fixtures, molds, and tools used in production processes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges and optimize tool performance
• Standardize setup, adjustment, and preventive maintenance processes to reduce lead time
• Provide technical support and training to technicians and operators

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Tool & Die Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in jig/fixture design and HPDC die design
• Fresh graduates who are eager to learn from experienced professionals are also welcome
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC, die casting, stamping, and assembly
• Strong 3D CAD/CAM skills (preferably Siemens NX or Solid Edge)
• Experience with casting simulation software (e.g., ProCAST) is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively across teams
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems, and proficiency in MS Office
• Good command of English (both spoken and written)
• TOEIC score 500+ is an advantage
