Mold Technician

Duties

• Perform PM of molds after they run in the press.
• Perform preventive maintenance and internal repairs on injection molds and production fixtures.
• Place PM tag on molds.
• Perform minor plant machinist duties as required.
• Place mold in mold rack in assigned location.
• Fill out work order for mold to indicate that PM was completed.
• Perform scheduled weekly PM’s on molds in presses, or out of press, and document on PM Work Orders
• Place radius and orifice size on all molds as they are PM’d.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Have flexibility to complete other relevant duties assigned by the Skilled Trades Manager.
• Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management Systems are met within assigned areas of responsibility.
• Provide emergency back-up for mold and fixture transportation, mold setting, molding machine start-ups and maintenance.
• Perform work in a safe manner to aid in the prevention and reduction of accidents.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Tooling and Machining experience is preferred.
• Education in maintenance or equivalent experience is helpful.
• Forklift training.
• Overhead Crane training.
• Good communication skills.
• Good organizational skills
• Paulson Training

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
