Molding Engineer

该职位来源于猎聘 Reporting to Sr. NPD Engineer, you as a Molding Engineer will be responsible for both molding process and other new process development. About the job:

• Locate, supervise, and develop strategic suppliers of molding parts and tooling. Act as technical purchasing support for quoting tools and parts.
• Problem-solving tooling and process related issues with team at molding operations.
• Develop standards for molding operations. Coach and mentor team members at locations working with molding operations and tooling.
• Support molding related New Product Development, Quality, Purchasing, Planning, and Product Management teams with technical expertise in review meetings.
• DFM reviews for molded parts and components. Launch support.
• Besides molding process, focus on some other new process development basing on the requirement of new projects.
• Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates options and makes sound design recommendations for product/process/test/machine development or enhancement and Generate invention disclosures for patent applications.
• Conduct related process study & testing and prepares reports/ material technical specifications.
• Assists with project management and scheduling of customer requirements.
• Other jobs assigned by Engineering Manager About you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in technical discipline familiar to molding, such as Material Science,

Mechanical Engineering, Physical, Chemical.

• With 3~5 years molding experience, including Transfer molding & Over molding.
• Experience in component design and process engineering.
• Experience in supplier subcontracting, internal manufacturing.
• Experience with working on product design teams with responsibility to transfer products into production.
• Good understanding of documentation processes required for design and manufacturing processes.
• Great communication skills and fluent in English (written and verbal) .
• Proficiency in MS Office and Windows, familiar with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Cero, understanding of statistics is an advantage, such as Minitab.
• Flexible and willing to work in cross-functional, cross-disciplinary roles within the company.
• Result-oriented, strong analytical and technical skills for problem solving, high attention to details.
• Available to work in a full-time role on site, and willing to relocate for short-term rotational assignments/travel (as needed)
• Responsible to execute deliverables of projects on schedule and within budget to expand existing business, win new business, improve quality, and reduce costs.
