Molding Manager

StaffBright is seeking an experienced Molding Manager to lead and optimize injection molding operations for an established automotive manufacturer in Auburn Hills, Michigan . This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can strengthen manufacturing processes, improve quality and efficiency, and build a high-performing team in a growing operation.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Oversee daily plastic injection molding operations, including machine setup, troubleshooting, process optimization, and production performance.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards to improve consistency, efficiency, and accountability.
• Lead and develop production and technical personnel, providing hands-on support and guidance on the manufacturing floor.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to address quality issues, equipment challenges, and production downtime.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, product quality, and operational performance.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve issues and meet production goals.

What We Need From You:

• 7+ years of plastic injection molding experience, including at least 5 years of management experience within the automotive industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, including machine setup, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Experience developing manufacturing processes, procedures, and standards in an environment that requires greater structure and accountability.
• Proven hands-on leadership experience managing and developing teams within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with root cause analysis methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
