MOLDING TECHNICIAN

About the role

The Molding Technician works independently on new process development and troubleshooting of current production issues. The role involves direct involvement in production yield, efficiency, and productivity improvement, ensuring all parts produced meet quality standards and comply with customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Work independently on new process development as well as troubleshooting current production issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems with new and current molds, processes and equipment by working with internal and external resources
• Trial new tooling and equipment and make modifications as needed to meet quality and production goals
• Ensure all parts produced from the machine meet good quality and comply to customer specification
• Update all daily reports on time as per actual production status
• Handle all produced parts until transfer to Finish Good (FG)
• Ensure documented documents are well maintained as per compliance to QMS and IATF 16949 standard
• Direct involvement in production stock declaration with zero error
• Ensure prompt reporting to ERT committees if any non-compliance deviation or accidents occur
• Maintain housekeeping in work area and cooperate to comply with ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and 5S requirements

About you

• Minimum SPM qualification or above (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years' experience in molding process or automotive products
• Knowledge in engineering tools (preferred)
• Good communication and interaction skills
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Able to perform under pressure
