Job Summary
Manage, secure, optimize, and support enterprise databases including relational and NoSQL platforms across on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB databases/clusters.
Install, configure, upgrade, monitor, back up, and recover databases.
Manage MongoDB Replica Sets, sharding (preferred), authentication, and performance tuning.
Implement HA, replication, disaster recovery, and security controls.
Optimize queries, indexes, and storage utilization.
Support cloud databases (Cloud SQL, MongoDB Atlas, AWS RDS).
Automate routine administration using SQL, Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Required Skills
Databases: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDB Cloud: Google Cloud SQL, MongoDB Atlas, AWS RDS Monitoring: SSMS, pgAdmin, MongoDB Compass, Grafana, Prometheus OS: Linux, Windows Server Scripting: SQL, Bash, PowerShell, Python (Preferred)
Experience
58 years administering production databases including MongoDB. Experience with BFSI/FinTech preferred.
