📍 Halifax | Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office

We’re looking for an experienced Monitoring & Observability Engineer to take the lead in developing and transforming an organisation-wide monitoring capability.

This is your chance to make a real impact, leading the migration to LogicMonitor , improving service visibility and building smarter, more proactive ways to identify and resolve issues before they affect customers. 📊

🔧 What you’ll be doing:

• Leading the migration from Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus to LogicMonitor.
• Defining monitoring, alerting and dashboard standards across the organisation.
• Improving visibility across infrastructure, networks, applications, databases and critical services.
• Reducing alert noise and making alerts more meaningful and actionable.
• Developing service health monitoring, availability reporting and performance insights.
• Integrating monitoring with ITSM, automation and AI Operations platforms.
• Using KPIs and data to drive continuous improvement and service reliability.
• Providing technical leadership, sharing knowledge and helping teams get more from their monitoring tools.

💡 What we’re looking for:

An experienced monitoring and observability specialist with a strong background in enterprise monitoring platforms and a passion for improving service performance.

You’ll ideally bring experience with LogicMonitor, Icinga, Grafana and Prometheus , alongside knowledge of alerting strategies, dashboards, infrastructure and application monitoring, and scripting with Python, PowerShell or Bash.

Experience with AIOps, OpenTelemetry, Kubernetes, cloud monitoring or automated remediation would be a great bonus.
