Wayne Alarm Systems is looking for a strong, hands-on Monitoring Center Supervisor to lead an assigned shift within our Monitoring Center.
This is a frontline leadership position for someone who is comfortable making decisions, coaching employees, holding people accountable, and staying actively engaged in a fast-paced environment. Our Monitoring Center plays a critical role in protecting our customers, and we are looking for a leader who understands the importance of life safety, exceptional customer service, teamwork, and accountability.
What You’ll Do.
As a Monitoring Center Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall success of your assigned shift. You will:

The Reality of the Role
This is not a desk-only supervisor position.
Our Monitoring Center operates in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Alarm volume can increase unexpectedly, staffing challenges happen, customers may be upset, and employees will look to you for direction.
There will be times when you need to answer calls, process alarms, assist an operator, handle an escalation, address an employee issue, adjust staffing, coach someone, and make an important decision—all within the same shift.
You are expected to know what is happening in the room and take action without waiting for management to identify every issue.
You will also be expected to have difficult conversations. Leadership means recognizing great performance, but it also means addressing attendance, behavior, quality, productivity, and performance concerns consistently and professionally.
Success in this role requires leadership presence, sound judgment, initiative, accountability, emotional maturity, and follow-through.
Schedule and Attendance
This is a full-time, onsite position supporting a 24/7 Monitoring Center. Candidates must be available for weekdays and at least one assigned weekend shift. Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential because Monitoring Center coverage cannot be delayed or left unattended.
Available 2nd-shift schedules: flexible:1pm-9pm,2pm-10pm,3pm-11pm and including at least one weekend night.
Scheduled holiday work and occasional overtime may be required based on coverage needs. Final schedule expectations will be reviewed during the hiring process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Strong verbal, written, telephone, listening, and computer skills.
- Previous alarm monitoring experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in customer service, call centers, dispatch, healthcare, banking, insurance, hospitality, technical support, logistics, or similar procedure-driven work is a plus.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and complete applicable pre-employment requirements.
Training, Growth, and Support
We are committed to developing strong leaders through hands-on experience, coaching, and continued training. Supervisors will receive ongoing development in leadership, customer service, employee coaching, difficult conversations, life-safety procedures, and Monitoring Center operations. As skills and leadership capabilities grow, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and advance within the organization.
