Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer

The success of our community program relies heavily on effective monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) processes. To ensure that we achieve our goals and continuously improve our services, the MEAL Officer together with the team will be responsible for tracking progress, evaluating outcomes and facilitating learning to enhance program effectiveness.

The MEAL Officer shall be based in the office but will do some travelling.

The MEAL Officer shall:

• establish a robust MEAL system that supports data-driven decision-making
• ensure accountability and transparency in program implementation
• foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the program

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Community Development or Statistics or any social science course

· Has completed a special training or course in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

. At least 5 years work experience in program/project management including MEAL roles

. Strong analytical and project management skills

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and training abilities

· Proficient in the English language (written and oral)

· Output oriented - able to work in a busy environment and produce deliverables on time

· Well-organized, willing to learn and has keen attention to details

· Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office)

· Can work effectively both in a team and independently

· A person of integrity, accountability and confidentiality

· Supportive of The Salvation Army’s vision and mission

· Able to travel extensively
