Morning Nursing Assistant/DSP Position

Here's an opportunity to make a difference working with clients who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Riverside Foundation has entry-level, part-time positions available for nursing assistants. State certified training is provided. Additional weekend and evening hours are available in the Program department, if desired, once training is completed. The successful entry-level applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check, have good attendance, a valid Illinois driver’s license, and a clean driving record.

Schedule: Monday - Friday : 6AM - 9AM

Duties include:

• Implement morning training programs
• Assist clients with morning ADLs
• Provide assistance to clients in areas of need
• Communicate clients’ needs to the Department of Nursing
• Encourage clients’ interpersonal skills
• Assist clients on medical, dental, and other scheduled appointments
• Provide intervention for client maladaptive behaviors as trained and assigned
• Help clients prepare for transport to the day training program in Vernon Hills
