United 1 Mortgage Corporation helps homebuyers and homeowners in Northern Virginia and beyond with home purchase and refinance loans. We're growing our operations team and want a motivated, detail-oriented person to join our Vienna office as a Mortgage Loan Processor.

About the Role
This is an entry-level job, and we'll provide training. As a Loan Processor, you'll be a key link between our loan officers, borrowers, underwriters and title companies. You'll help move each loan smoothly from application to closing. If you're organized, like working with documents and details, and want to start a career in the mortgage industry, we'd like to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Collect, review and organize borrower documents such as pay stubs, W-2s, tax returns and bank statements
• Check loan files for completeness and accuracy before they go to underwriting
• Order and track third-party services, including appraisals, title work, verifications of employment and flood certifications
• Talk with borrowers, loan officers and underwriters to clear conditions and keep loans on schedule
• Enter and update loan information in our loan origination system
• Track deadlines and keep everyone informed of loan status
• Keep borrower information confidential and follow company and regulatory guidelines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or a degree is a plus
• Prior experience in mortgage processing, banking, real estate, title or a similar field is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication
• Comfortable with computers, email and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Able to manage several tasks and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work in person at our Vienna, VA office
