Mortgage Loan Processor

Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for the processing of in-house and secondary market mortgage loans for originator(s) in accordance to established mortgage lending policies and procedures and all banking regulations including but not limited to BSA, USA Patriot Act, CIP, AML and other regulations. This position is responsible for the administration of mortgage loans in process and the servicing of the originator's existing portfolio following established quality control measures.

The office is in Douglas, GA, but we would consider another office if closer, or the possibility or a remote worker.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

1. Responsible for ordering titles, appraisals, and Private Mortgage Insurance (PMI); coordinates loan closing with member, originator, and title agency.
2. Manage pipeline of conventional, government and/or portfolio loans.
3. Strong working knowledge of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, RESPA & TRID guidelines
4. Process all loans including the most complex files.
5. Evaluate loan documentation and clear conditions as per delegated authority.
6. Maintain high level of customer service by being proactive in communicating with the borrowers and loan originator.
7. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely loan data on processing system.
8. Review conditions to ensure all tasks are complete.
9. Finalizes mortgage closing packages, reviews closing costs, settlement figures and documents for completeness and accuracy.
10. Serve as liaison for mortgage loan originators, vendors, and other necessary departments.
11. Complies with all bank and personnel policies and procedures including but not limited to policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act.
12. Complete periodic training provided and/or required including but not limited to BSA training within required time frames assigned.
13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Associated degree in business related field preferred.

Experience:

1. Minimum 2 years mortgage loan processing required.
2. Solid experience with demonstrated commitments to quality and customer service.

Knowledge

1. Proficient knowledge of real estate or mortgage lending processes, principals, and systems required.
2. Basic understanding of bank products and services.

Work Environment:
Requires regular office conditions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
