MOT Tester

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections and tests on vehicles to ensure they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity of our services and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality vehicle assessments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Perform detailed inspections of vehicle components, including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
• Identify and diagnose faults or issues with vehicles and provide accurate reports.
• Maintain accurate records of tests conducted and any repairs needed.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Communicate findings to customers clearly and professionally, providing advice on necessary repairs or maintenance.

• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex vehicle systems.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting as required during inspections and repairs.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure thorough inspections are conducted.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
