MOT Tester

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MOT Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to ensure they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This role demands a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand and power tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests on a variety of vehicles, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
• Inspect vehicle components including brakes, lights, steering, and suspension systems.
• Diagnose faults and recommend necessary repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests performed, and any work carried out.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding test results and required repairs.
• Ensure that all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while working in the garage environment.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during vehicle inspections and repairs.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
