Motion Graphics Designer (After Effects Specialist)

Location: On-Site — Gulberg Residencia, Islamabad

Timings: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Monday to Friday)

Salary: 105,000 – 110,000 PKR / month (Commensurate with portfolio & technical assessment)

Role Overview

We are looking for a technical Motion Graphics Designer and Senior Video Editor who operates at an advanced level in Adobe After Effects. You will take raw product screen captures, vector assets, 3D renders, and script briefs to build fluid, high-end product animations, UI abstractions, and commercial promotional edits for global SaaS and tech brands.

Core Technical Requirements

• Advanced After Effects Mastery: Deep understanding of the Graph Editor (custom bezier curves, spatial/temporal interpolation), track mattes, shape layer modifiers, and 3D camera setups.
• Proficiency in AE Expressions: Ability to write and modify JavaScript expressions (e.g., linear(), clamp(), valueAtTime(), wiggle(), index linking, slider controls) to build scalable, automated rigs and dynamic layouts.
• Vector & Asset Preparation: Seamless workflow between Adobe Illustrator/Figma and After Effects (asset prep via Overlord, shape conversions, layer hierarchy optimization).
• Video Editing & Pacing: Strong sense of kinetic timing, narrative pacing, audio sync, sound design layering, and speed ramping inside Premiere Pro or After Effects.
• Workflow & Plugins: Familiarity with key industry plugins and scripts (e.g., Flow, Motion 4, Deep Glow, Trapcode Suite, Element 3D, Bodymovin/Lottie) and clean pre-comp architecture.
• Render & Asset Optimization: Ability to export clean, compressed deliverables (H.264, ProRes, Alpha channels, Lottie JSON, WebM) without quality loss.

Key Responsibilities

• Animate complex UI/UX workflows, software features, and abstract tech concepts into seamless visual narratives.
• Design and execute custom kinetic typography, transitions, and modular lower-thirds.
• Rig motion assets using expressions and controllers for fast revisions and client iterations.
• Cut, color grade, and sound-design high-retention commercial promotional videos and product reels.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 3+ years of verifiable experience creating high-end 2D/2.5D motion graphics and commercial video edits.
• Attention to Detail: Frame-accurate eye for easing, spatial balance, micro-interactions, and visual continuity.
• Reliability: Ability to manage project timelines efficiently on-site during the 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM shift.
