Motor Claims Handler - 6-Month Fixed Term
AucklandAre you an experienced Motor Claims Handler who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of claims from notification through to resolution. 

Delta Insurance is looking for a capable and customer-focused Motor Claims Handlerto join its Auckland-based Claims team. This is initially a 6-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension. 

Reporting to the NZ Claims Manager, you'll manage a high volume of claims while delivering timely, efficient and high-quality service to policyholders and other key stakeholders. 

About the role
You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of claims notified to Delta, working closely with the wider Claims and Underwriting teams and maintaining strong relationships with policyholders, brokers and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end management of motor claims, ensuring they are assessed, progressed and resolved promptly, fairly and cost-effectively.
• Clear and responsive communication with policyholders, claimants, brokers, legal advisers and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
• Accurate claims administration, including maintaining complete and up-to-date files, documenting decisions and providing regular claims reporting to management.
• Compliance with Lloyd’s claims authority requirements, internal procedures, service-level standards and relevant legal and regulatory obligations.
• Effective negotiation and settlement of claims, including managing recoveries from insured and uninsured third parties and supporting strong broker and customer relationships.

About youYou will bring/have:

• Minimum of two years’ motor claims handling experience (Property claims experience would an advantage)
• Experience working within a high-volume claim’s environment
• Experience managing recoveries, with the resilience and confidence to navigate difficult conversations when required
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• An analytical approach and sound judgement
• A good understanding of insurance principles and regulations
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, with claims management software experience an advantage
