Duties

• Safely operate motor coaches, mini coach buses, or minibus vehicles on designated routes, including city streets and shuttle services.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure mechanical integrity and compliance with safety standards.
• Follow all traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and DOT guidelines to maintain a safe driving environment.
• Use company communication systems to accept reservations, coordinate routes, report incidents, or receive instructions from dispatchers.
• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting, including providing special needs assistance when required.
• Navigate efficiently through urban areas, managing traffic conditions and adverse weather to ensure timely arrivals.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, vehicle inspections, and mileage; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly.
• Foster positive interactions with passengers by delivering excellent customer service, addressing questions or concerns professionally.

Experience

• Proven experience driving motor coaches, school buses, or shuttle vehicles in a commercial setting.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and maintenance procedures.
• Familiarity with transportation safety regulations including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards and state laws.
• Defensive driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with air brake systems is preferred.
• Ability to navigate city streets confidently using GPS or maps; experience with traffic laws and city navigation is essential.
• Excellent communication skills
• Prior experience and ability to manage routes efficiently under varying conditions.

Knowledge of vehicle inspections, passenger safety protocols, and handling passenger special needs situations confidently.

Pay: $350.00 - $1,000.00 per week
