Job Summary

Tech‑Tonic Vehicle Repair Ltd is looking for a skilled and motivated Vehicle Technician to join our growing team. We’re a modern, well‑equipped workshop with strong diagnostic capability, a supportive environment, and a genuine commitment to upskilling our staff.

The ideal candidate will have solid mechanical knowledge, hands‑on experience in vehicle maintenance, and a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving faults. You’ll deliver high‑quality workmanship while providing clear, friendly communication to both customers and colleagues.

This role is 40 hours per week, with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break, and offers two working pattern options:

• Monday–Friday:
• 07:30–16:00
• 08:30–17:00
• 4‑Day Week Option:
• 07:30–17:30 (four days per week)

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough inspections to identify faults and required repairs.
• Use hand tools and power tools confidently for maintenance and repair tasks.
• Assemble, repair, and maintain vehicle components to strict safety and quality standards.
• Interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics to support accurate repairs.
• Safely assist with heavy lifting of vehicle parts and workshop equipment.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair needs, progress, and outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and front‑of‑house staff.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safety‑compliant working environment.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot a wide range of vehicle systems.
• Experience using power tools and workshop equipment.
• Familiarity with Bosch KTS, Picoscope, Autologic, and Snap‑on diagnostic tools (highly desirable).
• Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with both customers and colleagues.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Customer service experience is an advantage.
