Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and equipment using appropriate manual handling techniques and heavy equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or clamp trucks.
• Support the team in organizing items for efficient storage or transport within the warehouse or moving site.
• Operate warehouse equipment including RF scanners, order pickers, and basic material handling tools to ensure accurate inventory management.
• Follow safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries.
• Help coordinate shipping and receiving activities by ensuring proper placement of goods using warehouse operations procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace by adhering to safety guidelines for heavy equipment operation and materials handling.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure timely load & unload processes while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• Prior experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, crane systems, or other heavy machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of inventory management systems and RF scanners is preferred.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
• Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipments accurately.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and protocols related to warehouse operations.
• Warehouse supervisor experience or background in warehouse operations will be advantageous but not required.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to supporting daily operational needs.
