Mover/Laborer

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Mover/Laborer to assist with moving, loading, unloading, and transportation tasks. This role involves working in dynamic environments, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring safe handling of items. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, driving commercial vehicles such as box trucks, and performing heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in logistics, route driving, and equipment operation.

$15 per hour to start. After a successful 90 day probationary period, increase to $17.5 base pay rate.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload items safely using appropriate lifting techniques and equipment such as 2 wheel dolly, 4 wheel dolly, shoulder dolly, appliance dolly.
• Use protective equipment and materials to ensure protection of customer property and belongings
• Assist customers with moving their belongings efficiently and professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas before, during, and after tasks.
• Follow safety guidelines during all operations involving heavy lifting, driving, or equipment use.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate tasks efficiently.
• Maintain company standards on appearance and company required attire.

Experience

• Prior experience in customer service or moving/laboring roles preferred.
• Warehouse experience including the operation of forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
• Delivery driver experience or route driving background is advantageous.
• Familiarity with heavy lifting, commercial vehicles, and safety procedures related to moving operations is desirable.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor. This role is essential for ensuring efficient logistics operations while providing excellent service to clients through safe handling and transportation of goods.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
