Mover/Packer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Mover/Packer to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will be responsible for safely handling, packing, loading, and unloading items during residential and commercial deliveries Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure a smooth transition for our customers while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in logistics, manual handling, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. Whether you're experienced in warehouse operations or eager to learn, your contribution will be vital to our success! This position would work at our clients stores packing and delivering floor model items that customers have purchased off the showroom floor.

Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment using proper manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies
• Pack items securely to prevent damage during transit, ensuring all belongings are properly protected
• Operate various vehicles including box trucks, vans, for delivery and moving purposes while adhering to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
• Assist with route planning and driving to ensure timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining a professional attitude on the road
• Load and unload trucks efficiently by following safe lifting practices and weight handling guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate moving schedules.

Requirements

• Previous furniture handling experience or familiarity with delivering furniture is preferred
• Valid driver’s license with experience in box truck driving or van/delivery driver roles.
• Experience operating box trucks, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently follow safe lifting practices
• Strong driving skills with adherence to traffic laws and route driving protocols
• Customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work physically demanding shifts involving manual handling, moving heavy items.

This is a 4 day work schedule and will require some over nights as we cover Austin and San Antonio out of our Conroe location.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
