Mover/Packer

Duties

• Safely pack and prepare items for transport, ensuring protection during transit
• Load and unload furniture, boxes, and equipment using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or dollies
• Operate box trucks, vans, or other commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws
• Assist with the movement of goods within warehouse operations using appropriate manual handling practices
• Load and unload delivery vehicles efficiently while maintaining safe lifting practices to prevent injury
• Deliver items directly to customers’ locations using personal or company-provided vehicles, ensuring timely arrivals
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and inventory movements using mobile devices or delivery logs

Requirements

• Proven warehouse experience or moving background with familiarity in material handling and heavy lifting
• Valid driver’s license with experience driving box trucks, vans, or similar commercial vehicles; commercial truck driving experience is a plus
• Experience with delivery driving, route planning, and adhering to traffic regulations for safe transportation
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, and safe lifting practices
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and weight handling in the workplace
• Comfortable operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or carts in warehouse settings
• Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries and interactions with clients
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments requiring physical activity and attention to safety standards

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
