Moxy and Excavator Operators

Workfast is seeking highly skilled GPS Excavator Operators and reliable Moxy Operators for ongoing major civil, bulk earthworks, and infrastructure projects across Northern Queensland. What you need

• Minimum 12 months’ proven experience in civil construction, earthworks, or mining
• Construction White Card
• Strong safety focus, commitment to teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• GPS Excavator Operators: Current RII competency for Excavator Operations. High proficiency utilising GPS machine control systems to read plans and meet strict site tolerances.
• Moxy Operators: Current RII competency for Articulated Haul Truck Operations. Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume load and haul environment.

What you will be doing

• GPS Excavator Operators: Operating heavy excavators safely for detailed earthworks and final trim operations. Executing precision cut/fill, trenching, battering, and bulk loading using GPS systems, working closely with ground crews and surveyors.
• Moxy Operators: Operating articulated haul trucks for bulk material haulage. Transporting soil, rock, and fill across the site and collaborating with excavator/loader operators to ensure efficient load times.
• All Operators: Completing daily pre-start checks, maintaining haul roads and work areas to safe operating standards, reporting defects, and strictly following all site safety, environmental, and operational procedures.
