The Role

We are looking for a Mozaik Draftsperson who will take kitchen and joinery projects from a 3D layout in SketchUp, through detailed joinery development in Mozaik, to the shop drawings the workshop builds from. You will own each drawing set end to end, working with the client's designers, project managers and manufacturing team, and delivering several projects at once to their agreed dates. This is a hands-on production drafting role. It does not involve quoting, pricing or customer contact.

Our client is an Australian cabinetry business that designs, manufactures and installs custom kitchens and joinery.

Duties and Responsibilities

Mozaik Joinery Development

• Transfer approved layouts into Mozaik and apply standard carcass constructions, materials and hardware libraries.
• Configure parametric cabinet rules to suit each project.
• Modify units for non-standard sizes, fillers, scribes and service penetrations so each job is buildable.

Shop Drawings and Manufacturing Documentation

• Produce 2D plans, elevations and sections with dimensions, notes and construction references.
• Set hinge, runner and lift hardware positions to manufacturer standards.
• Review nesting layouts for material efficiency.
• Check dimensions, hardware positions and clearances before any drawing is issued.

SketchUp 3D Modelling and Design Validation

• Set out walls, floors, ceilings, windows and fixed services to scale.
• Model cabinetry in 3D to confirm layout, proportions and clearances.
• Check door swings, drawer access, appliance spacing and service conflicts, and flag clashes before drawings are released.

Requirements

• Experience working in an Australian cabinetry or kitchen business, or with Australian cabinetry conventions.
• Hands-on cabinetry or joinery drafting experience producing manufacturing-ready shop drawings that a workshop has built from
• Hands-on Mozaik experience building and editing cabinets, including carcass construction, materials and hardware libraries, and parametric cabinet rules.
• SketchUp experience modelling cabinetry in 3D to confirm layout
• Experience issuing your own dimensioned 2D plans, elevations and sections with notes and construction references.
• Experience setting hinge, runner and lift hardware positions from manufacturer specification sheets.
• Experience managing several live projects at once and delivering each to its agreed date.

This position is an onsite role at our Pampanga office. Candidate must be willing to work on-site.
