MPCM Engineer

Job Title : MPCM Engineer

To facilitate mass production changes for business vertical and identify cost optimization opportunities, supporting design/engineering change implementation, conducting cost and feasibility analysis, and ensuring robust documentation and system compliance. The role enables collaboration of Plant, R&D and corporate

functions to enable smooth execution of change and cost saving ideas in form of VAVE.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Feasibility Review & Cost Analysis

Conduct feasibility checks for design changes, cost reduction ideas, and improvement initiatives.

Analyses part costing, raw material options, test requirements, and tooling impacts for proposed changes.

Validate cost inputs with sourcing, engineering, and plant teams to ensure data reliability.

Prepare initial cost breakdowns for internal approvals

2. Project Management

Track assigned MPCM/VAVE projects from concept to implementation alongside CFTs.

Coordinate in the plant for sample building and sending the same to lab for validation

Coordinate with plant teams to ensure timely execution of engineering changes, trials, and validations.

Identify risks in cost, feasibility, or timing and escalate to required team as and when needed.

3. Process & Documentation Management

Ensure timely tracking of all the Engineering and supplier changes for a cluster along with associated obsolescence and cost

Track monthly savings for the cluster and prepare final budget

5. Implementation & Operational Support

Track quality, cost, and timing for each MPCM/VAVE project during execution.

Gather plant-level data for analysis and decision-making.

Support in ensuring readiness for implementation: material, tools, documentation, and approvals.

7. Stakeholder Coordination

Maintain collaboration with engineering, sourcing, quality, plant, and R&D teams for smooth project execution.

Ensure all stakeholders adhere to project timelines, data requirements, and documentation protocols.

Support Lead VAVE (MPCM) in customer communications as required.

• Line trial and sample preparation based on changed content
• Cost impact / savings verification with Finance
• Track the existing projects and its status
• Align CFT to conduct changes in organized manner
• Line unavailability for sample building and CFT resistance

Stakeholder alignment and risk mitigation

Project prioritization.

Project execution and required multi-tasking to be done on each stage
