MRI Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Radiologic Technologist with hands-on experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MRI procedures accurately and safely while ensuring patient comfort and quality imaging results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MRI examinations following established clinical procedures and safety protocols.
• Prepare and properly position patients for MRI procedures.
• Explain the MRI procedure to patients and provide appropriate assistance throughout the examination.
• Screen patients for MRI safety concerns, including implants, metal objects, and other contraindications.
• Ensure proper selection and use of MRI protocols based on the requested examination.
• Administer contrast media when required and in accordance with established protocols and physician instructions.
• Monitor patients during examinations and respond appropriately to any concerns or adverse reactions.
• Review images for quality and completeness and repeat examinations when necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
• Follow strict MRI safety, infection control, and patient care standards.
• Perform basic equipment checks and report technical issues or equipment concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized MRI area.
• Coordinate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Perform other related duties that may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Must be a Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RRT).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Knowledge of MRI procedures, patient positioning, imaging protocols, and MRI safety standards.
• Experience handling patients for various MRI examinations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a clinical environment.
• Computer literate and capable of maintaining accurate documentation.
• Able to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of patient care and imaging quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Hands-on experience operating MRI equipment.
• Familiarity with contrast-enhanced MRI procedures.
• Knowledge of MRI safety screening and protocols.
• Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare staff.
