MRI Technologist – Weekender Rotation

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist I performs imaging procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety and quality image acquisition. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, explaining procedures, and performing neuro, body, and extremity MRI scans based on radiologist protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of MRI processes and safety standards, with responsibility for equipment quality control and reporting malfunctions.
• Perform venous access for IV contrast administration and enter data into imaging systems.
• Assist in supply management and act as a radiology liaison supporting physicians.
• Handle non-controlled medications during exams and ensure adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
• Graduate of a radiologic technology training program.
• Ability to identify anatomy on images and perform quality control tests.
• Strong communication skills to explain procedures and answer patient questions.
