Precision Imaging. Compassionate Care.

Use your expertise in both CT and MRI in a rural hospital where your judgment, independence, and contribution to patient care are visible every day. Moab Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced dual-modality technologist who can perform CT and MRI examinations independently while providing safe, compassionate care to patients who are often our friends, neighbors, and family members.

Meet Your Team

You'll join a collaborative Radiology department that partners closely with physicians, nurses, and specialists across the hospital. As part of a small, highly skilled team, you'll enjoy meaningful autonomy while always having the support of colleagues who are committed to providing exceptional patient care.

What You'll Do

  • Perform high quality CT and MRI examinations independently in accordance with provider orders, department protocols, and accepted standards of practice.
  • Verify patient identity, explain procedures, assess relevant history, prepare and position patients, and monitor patient comfort and condition throughout each examination.
  • Apply CT radiation safety principles and MRI screening and safety practices to protect patients, employees, and visitors.
  • Select and adjust imaging protocols to produce diagnostic quality studies while responding appropriately to patient needs and clinical circumstances.
  • Administer contrast media and respond to adverse reactions within the technologist's authorized scope and hospital policy.
  • Review images for quality and completeness, transmit studies accurately, and communicate urgent or unexpected concerns through established channels.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in imaging and patient records while protecting confidentiality.
  • Perform required equipment and quality control checks, identify safety or performance concerns, and follow reporting and service procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other team members to support safe, timely patient care.
  • Help maintain a clean, prepared, and well supplied imaging environment and participate in department training, process improvement, and compliance activities.
  • Adjust the work schedule when needed to support approved time off, holiday on call coverage, and vacation coverage.

What We're Looking For:

  • Current ARRT certification in good standing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and recent clinical experience performing both CT and MRI examinations independently. This position requires competency in both modalities.
  • Working knowledge of CT imaging protocols, radiation safety, contrast procedures, patient positioning, and image quality standards.
  • Working knowledge of MRI screening, implant and device safety, zone controls, emergency procedures, patient positioning, and image quality standards.
  • Ability to provide safe, compassionate care and communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Reliability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to organize work in a changing clinical environment.
  • Ability to work independently and contribute positively to a small team.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and compliance with hospital policies and applicable requirements.
  • Willingness to relocate to Moab if currently living outside the area.
