MSL Engineer (Materials Surface Analysis)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct validation, evaluation and characterisation of media, media processes and related components using surface analysis techniques.
• Develop and enhance surface analysis methodologies to verify design compliance and reliability margins.
• Analyse evaluation and failure analysis results and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with process owners, engineers and project teams to identify improvement opportunities.
• Support and coordinate laboratory activities to ensure timely completion of analysis requests.
• Manage and maintain surface analysis laboratory equipment, including preventive maintenance and vendor coordination.
• Liaise with external laboratories for specialised analytical services when required.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and ISO requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D function.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Candidates with experience in materials analysis, failure analysis, surface characterisation or semiconductor/HDD-related industries will have an advantage.

Working Environment

• Research & Development laboratory environment.
• Cleanroom work is required.
• Hands-on involvement with advanced analytical and characterisation equipment.
