Multi Skilled Bricklayer

ORG Developments Limited is a growing regional building, refurbishment and maintenance company, delivering a wide range of projects across the North East.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Multi-Skilled Bricklayer to join our expanding team.

The successful candidate will have strong bricklaying and masonry experience, together with a broad range of practical construction skills. You will be involved in a variety of building, refurbishment and maintenance projects, carrying out high-quality work while working safely and efficiently.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and versatile tradesperson who takes pride in their workmanship and enjoys working across different aspects of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Construct, repair and maintain brickwork, blockwork, walls and masonry structures
• Carry out bricklaying and general masonry work to a high standard
• Use hand tools including trowels, hammers, chisels and levels safely and effectively
• Operate power tools including mixers, drills, saws and grinders
• Read and work from drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Assist with carpentry and formwork where required
• Carry out roofing repairs and associated building works where competent
• Assist with structural and general building works as required
• Carry out welding or metalwork tasks where appropriately skilled
• Prepare materials and work areas for construction activities
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised worksite
• Work alongside other trades, Site Managers and project teams
• Complete work within agreed timescales and to the required quality standards
• Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and site requirements

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bricklayer / Mason
• Strong knowledge of bricklaying and masonry techniques
• Ability to use common hand tools safely and effectively
• Experience using construction power tools
• Good understanding of construction site Health & Safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Good communication skills

Desirable Skills

Experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

• Roofing
• Carpentry
• Formwork
• General building and maintenance
• Welding / metalwork
• Refurbishment projects
• Experience working from technical drawings

We are looking for someone who is skilled, reliable and genuinely multi-skilled, with a strong work ethic and pride in the quality of their work.

You should be confident carrying out bricklaying and masonry work while also being willing and able to assist with other areas of construction where you have the relevant skills and experience.

Pay: £18.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
