Multi Skilled Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our on-site team in Ipswich town centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across plant, equipment, and building services.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with statutory requirements and industry standards
• Respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues and implement appropriate solutions
• Undertake general building maintenance, including basic plumbing and fabric repairs
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
• Accurately complete all compliance documentation and maintenance reports
• Participate in on-call and emergency response duties for OOH
• Escalate critical issues to the Facilities Manager
• Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and O&M documentation
• Review RAMS and supervise subcontractors on site
• Inspect and verify work carried out by external contractors
• Replace and maintain components such as filters, belts, and valves
• Ensure adequate stock levels of essential maintenance materials
• Carry out a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fabric tasks

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• Experience in Facilities Management or Maintenance Engineering
• Strong knowledge of both reactive and planned maintenance (PPM)
• Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Electrical or Mechanical, 18th Edition)
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Basic IT skills (Outlook, Excel)

Desirable:

• Experience working in a commercial environment
• Additional certifications or training

Pay: From £38,000.00 per year
