Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

R. Plevin & Sons Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a fully qualified multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (with electrical bias) to join our team based at our busy site at Riverside Industrial Estate, Marsh Lane Boston PE21 7ST.

R. Plevin & Sons is a UK market leader of wood recycling and an animal bedding manufacturer. At the Boston site there is an automated cat litter plant and a hay and straw baling plant. The site is busy and there is regular preventative and reactive maintenance required on the plant and mobile plant, as well as general site maintenance to do.

The role:

Hours of Work – Monday - Friday 08:00 -16:30 hours

40 hours per week

• on call (premium paid if called out, rota for on call)

This is a ‘hands on’ role, the job holder will be responsible carrying out fault finding and preventative maintenance on medium to heavy industrial plant and equipment.

As our Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:

Carrying out site wide electrical and mechanical maintenance, installation work, problem solving and continuous improvement to both increase and maintain production efficiencies.

Key skills and experience needed to become our Maintenance Engineer:

Able to work to tight deadlines.
Able to complete remedial repair work in line with statutory and legal requirements.
Adept at problem solving and flexible in their approach to work.
A time served apprentice trained with industrial experience (medium to heavy industrial plant and equipment) with formal qualifications (Level 3 City and Guilds, 18th Edition or equivalent)
