Cottage Farms could be for you , We are seeking a motivated multi skilled engineer to join our successful business within the fresh produce sector to take ownership of equipment reliability, shaping site improvements and work on a wide variety of production machinery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated hands on engineer to utilise their skills in a business where their ideas, initiative and expertise are genuinely valued.

This is a Monday to Friday, days-only role with no call-out rota, which comes with a competitive salary of £45,000–£55,000

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical and mechanical equipment across our facility, helping to ensure maximum reliability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering the planned preventative maintenance programme
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults
• Supporting machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and site performance

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled engineering qualification
• Maintenance experience within manufacturing, industrial, warehouse or food production environments
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of workload

Desirable

• Experience within fresh produce, food manufacturing or FMCG
• PLC fault-finding experience
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification
• Welding or fabrication experience

Hours & Work-Life Balance

• Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (45 hours per week- Inc paid breaks)
• No shift rotation
• No call-out rota
• Occasional paid overtime may be available to support planned maintenance activities, machinery installations and improvement projects
