About the Role

This role exists to deliver high-quality maintenance, repair and refurbishment works across residential properties to ensure homes remain safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard.

The Multi-Trade Maintenance Operative supports the delivery of responsive repairs and void property works, helping return properties to lettable conditions within agreed timescales.

Working as part of the operational team, the role contributes to service performance, customer satisfaction and safe delivery of maintenance services across housing contracts.

Responsibilities

• Carries out responsive repairs and planned maintenance across residential properties
• Completes multi-trade repair works including basic carpentry, plumbing, plastering, decorating and general building maintenance
• Diagnoses faults and identifies appropriate repair solutions during site visits
• Completes void property works to bring homes back to lettable standard
• Ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
• Maintains accurate records of work completed, materials used and job updates
• Communicates professionally with tenants and residents when working in occupied homes
• Identifies additional repairs or health and safety risks and reports them to management
• Maintains company tools, equipment and vehicles in good working condition
• Works collaboratively with supervisors, planners and colleagues to deliver service targets

Experience & Knowledge

• Experience carrying out property maintenance or multi-trade repair works
• Knowledge of common housing repairs and maintenance processes
• Experience working in occupied residential properties
• Understanding of safe working practices in construction or maintenance environments
• Experience using tools, materials and equipment relevant to building maintenance
• Experience working within responsive repairs or void property services (desirable)

Qualifications & Training

• Relevant trade qualification or equivalent practical experience
• CSCS card (desirable)
• Asbestos Awareness training
• Manual Handling training
• Full UK Driving Licence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
