Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities across various trades including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Civil Works. The role requires strong technical expertise in facility maintenance, appliance repair, troubleshooting, and report preparation to ensure the efficient operation of company facilities and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of building facilities and equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance activities according to maintenance schedules.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.

HVAC Systems

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair air conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Perform cleaning and servicing of HVAC units.
• Diagnose system failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor HVAC performance and energy efficiency.

Electrical Works

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, lighting systems, switches, sockets, and distribution panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.

Plumbing Works

• Repair and maintain water supply and drainage systems.
• Install and replace plumbing fixtures, fittings, and pipes.
• Identify and repair leaks, blockages, and other plumbing-related issues.

Carpentry Works

• Repair and maintain doors, cabinets, furniture, partitions, and wooden fixtures.
• Install and replace locks, hinges, and related hardware.
• Perform minor fabrication and finishing works as required.

Civil Works

• Carry out minor masonry, tiling, plastering, painting, and concrete repair works.
• Perform building maintenance and renovation-related tasks.
• Assist in small construction and refurbishment projects.

Home Appliance Repairs

• Diagnose and repair washing machines.
• Repair and service cooking ranges and ovens.
• Troubleshoot and repair water heaters.
• Conduct testing and verification after repairs.

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare maintenance reports and service records.
• Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, inspections, and materials used.
• Submit daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports as required.
• Communicate maintenance findings and recommendations to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance and facilities management.
• Proven experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Civil maintenance works.
• Experience in repairing washing machines, cooking ranges, and water heaters.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in preparing maintenance reports.

Maintenance Supervisor / Facilities Manager

Note: Candidates with comprehensive experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, Civil Works, and appliance repairs are highly preferred.

Pay: From QAR2,000.00 per month
