Key Responsibilities

General Maintenance & Repairs

• Conduct routine inspections of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, lighting, fixture, and general repair works.
• Monitor and coordinate the scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of elevators, fire protection systems, generators, and other critical equipment with accredited service providers.
• Conduct regular roving inspections of hotel facilities and immediately report defects, safety hazards, or maintenance concerns.

Preventive Maintenance

• Follow and implement the hotel's preventive maintenance schedule for equipment, facilities, and building systems.
• Conduct routine checks, testing, cleaning, and basic servicing of equipment as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment servicing.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with hotel policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.

Emergency & Safety Response

• Respond promptly to urgent maintenance concerns, including power interruptions, equipment breakdowns, and other facility emergencies.
• Assist in emergency response procedures, fire drills, and other safety activities.
• Regularly check emergency exits, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, and other safety equipment to ensure they are accessible and in proper working condition.
• Immediately escalate major equipment failures, safety hazards, and technical concerns to the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate of a technical/vocational course or college degree in Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Building Maintenance, or a related field.

• Technical certification or relevant training in electrical, plumbing, or other maintenance-related disciplines is an advantage.

• With 1–3 years of experience in building or facility maintenance, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, commercial building, or similar environment.

• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and air-conditioning cleaning and maintenance.

• Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs on various hotel facilities and equipment.

• Good problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.

• Knowledge and awareness of workplace safety procedures and maintenance standards.

• Willing to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
