Job Summary

The Multi Skill Technician (MST) is responsible for carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance throughout the properties. The role involves maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and other general maintenance systems to ensure guest comfort and smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including lights, switches, sockets, wiring, and circuit breakers.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems such as pipes, taps, toilets, wash basins, and drainage systems.
• Service and maintain HVAC and air-conditioning systems.
• Carry out carpentry work including repair of doors, locks, windows, furniture, and fixtures.
• Undertake minor painting, polishing, and civil maintenance work.
• Attend guest room maintenance complaints and resolve them promptly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance according to the maintenance schedule.
• Monitor and maintain generators, pumps, boilers, water systems, and other engineering equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with hotel safety standards and fire regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Security, and other departments when required.
• Be available for emergency repairs and breakdown maintenance.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry work
• Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Ability to use hand tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment
• Basic knowledge of hotel engineering systems
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Understanding of workplace safety and fire prevention procedures

Educational Qualification

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, HVAC, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience in hotel maintenance, engineering, or facility management preferred

Working Conditions

• AS per schedule and order given
• Requires standing, lifting, climbing ladders, and working in confined areas
• Must be ready to respond to emergency maintenance calls

Example Daily Tasks

• Repair leaking taps or blocked drains
• Repaire of Door closer.
• Replace damaged light fittings and switches
• Service air-conditioning units and ventilation systems
• Repair locks, doors, and furniture
• Inspect water pumps, generators, and boilers
• Complete daily preventive maintenance checks.
• Repair of Missionary Work
